We take a short conversation about skin type and goals, set minutes with you (not a scripted upsell), and show you how the bay works. Ask about our free first sunbed session for new guests – terms apply.

Arrive & settle

Walk in or arrive for a booking. We’ll greet you, confirm it’s your first time, and take questions at your pace.

Step 2

Skin type & plan

Sessions are matched to your skin type (I–VI). We’ll suggest minutes and a bay — often starting gently for first-timers.

Step 3

Into the bay

Eye protection provided, clear controls, LED comfort. Leave a little extra time on your first visit.

How we match minutes to your skin

Fitzpatrick skin types help us set a safer starting point. This is guidance – we still check in with you in salon.

Types I–II

Fair or freckled skin that burns easily. We usually recommend shorter first sessions and a careful build-up.

Types III–IV

Medium tones that tan more readily. We still start conservatively, then progress based on how your skin responds.

Types V–VI

Deeper tones. LED can still deliver even colour. We’ll set minutes according to your goals.

Always 18+

Always 18+ only (UK law). Bring ID if asked. We won’t rush a first session.

Before you come in

A few answers new guests usually want.

What should I wear?

Clothes you can change from easily. Wear what you’re comfortable tanning in (or use salon disposables where available). Remove jewellery that can mark.

How long is a first session?

Usually shorter than regulars. We set minutes from your skin type and history — better to build colour over visits than overdo day one.

Do I need to book?

Walk-ins are welcome. Online booking is best if you want a set time or a particular bay.

Is the first session free?

We promote a free first sunbed session for new guests — terms apply. Ask in salon or check Instagram @ITSTANOVA for current offers.

Do you offer LED and traditional UV?

Yes. Our K11 Air Plus and K9 Series are full LED laydown bays. The V6 Luxura is a classic standard UV stand-up. We’ll help you choose based on your goals and how you prefer the session to feel.
